Mon, May 5, 2008 - 8:55 PMThere are many ways to participate! We go to skate and volunteer and hang out with the Houston skaters and art car folks 'cause they're awesome. But the last couple years, we've brought burners with us, and we set up a nice little spot to watch the parade from, and then later we party with the art cars folks during the night parade. The night parade is awesome...worth it just to watch the cool lighted cars, but even more fun to ride in it with your friends. (art car or not-- just follow them!) It's a rip-roarin' good time. If you're in the area, come to the parade and give us a shout. -

1. I don't own any skates. 2. I don't want to be a bloody, broken, sunburnt mess heading into Flipside.
I'd be happy to ride a bike ...but mine are still broken from the playa...dang I am a mess...best would be riding in a trailer...we'll see what I can find out.
Short of all that I'd be happy to coordinate a good viewing spot for DFW burner spectators and their other TX friends. -

We totally are spectators...cooler, him in the shade, me in the sun, both of us in obnoxious hats, so Yarn Car Tim can take pics of us as he drives by. Geo - you setting up the structure again in the same place as 2 years ago...yeah - who remembers exactly where that was? In front of the Federal Reserve, right? We'll get in Friday night, and stay w/ my cousins, and ride down to the parade in one of his old cars.
Saturday night - I call a ride on Iron Maiden (is that what we rode?!) Then , we will have sleeping bags to crash at BW incase we get too sloshed to drive back to N. Houston.
Everyone has the cells #'s I believe... James Coney Island, here we come! Magnolia Rug Burns by the pool again? I'll get the delaware punch!

I just got word from one of my good ole buddies in Houston. He's invited us to a new downtown bar - Lucky's Pub.
He says "so what your saying is that I should warn everyone that your coming haha give me a shout if you want to come by my new bar it's downtown by the baseball stadium (Lucky's Pub) it rocks btw...." Hmmmm, why on earth would he warn them about moi?! Maybe he meant you guys.

What do you guys say? After the parade, we can head there and eat and drink and get lucky! Or maybe a better idea is to meet there in time to eat before the night parade. He works at 6, but we can go whenever. What's your vote? Course I want to go when he's there, but we need to be back at the Art Car Museum...at what time?

Fri, May 9, 2008 - 9:00 AMSkates! Hell yes! What an idea....never thought of it. Luminosity will be there without Krafty (he has to work all day :p). Tomorrow should be hot and sunny so bring the sun block! Can't wait to meet up with all the DFW peeps that are gonna be in H-town. If ya find Wayward we will not be far. Last night was the no ball art car ball and it rocked. Loads of fire to include fire cracker hats, cannons and oh so much more. Dragging ars today but it was well worth the fun. Not as young as I used to be so I feel it much more now. Can't wait for the parade tomorrow! Hope to see y'all soon!
