Major Tom commanded that I introductify myself, so here goes! I met a ton of you zany DFW's at Interfuse this weekend and was instructed that I must make a trip to Flipside this month. And, since ya'll know how to party, I thought it would be a good idea! I'm going to be coming in to Dallas (because it's about $100 cheaper to fly into Dallas than Austin) on Thursday morning early and will need one of you lovely peeps to help my haul my booty out to the fun-time sunshine. The only thing I can think of is that I will more than likely need to stop for a cooler/food/booze run on the way, but other than that I'm good. Will be flying out Monday night around 9:00 pm also. More than willing to chip in on fuel or whatever needs to happen.

I'm not packing anything but personal items (clothes, costumes, toiletries). Flying into Dallas is about $100 cheaper, but I understand is a long trek to the "Texas Playa".

Yep, got her covered on the shelter, I can also provide another sleeping bag I believe - I'll have to make sure I have my mummy sleeper. She could probably use a blow up matress of some sort of padding. I'll have a better list of what I can provide her in a few weeks when I'm back home and looking over my complete stock of camping equipment.

Oh, and a question: I'm totally spoiled by the frog bog at Ozark Avalon, what's the shower sitch like at FS? -

Fri, May 16, 2008 - 4:01 PMI think we can find another sleeping bag for you and I know I have a few extra blankets for you to use. As long as you have a matress you'll be good.
Food, dont' worry about a cooler, I have plenty of those. I'm going home, I'll probably wind up with a few more depending on how motherly my mom feels. Add that to the fact that you'll be at Lick and Suck and you eat meat.
Showers - there are open are showers there and there were a few that were a bit more secluded. Strip off and jump in with the rest of the naked people or wear a bathing suit, whatever you want. I think there may be some private showers - I don't remember them last year, but there were some the year before. The water is not hot. It can be very, very, very cold! Feels great in the morning though! =)
I'll probably call you next week when I'm shopping to make sure there is no last minute stuff you need and to find out if you need me to pick anything else up that you may not be able to get when you're out with Button.
